Everybody, who knows the novel "Le Fantôme de l'Opéra" written and immortalized by Monsieur Gaston Leroux, knows her name as well ~ Christine Daaé. Personally I use the name of Christine Daaé ~ or rather the name, Monsieur Leroux gave her in his famous novel ~ as my own, to give her the proper credit and hommage, she deserves. This I do also with my websites www.ChristineDaae.de (in German) and www.Christine-Daae.com (in English). These websites honor Christine Daaé in all her kinds and forms, no certain actress or source is featured, they are all treated equally.
I am neither a fan nor a PHan, I have very less in common with fans and PHans. I will never call Le Fantôme de l'Opéra POTO or Christine Daaé CD, this is highly irreverently. Actually every abbreviation concerning this tale, the names, involved people and songs is disliked deeply by me, as well as word combinations like Merik, Gerik, Lerik, Yerik, ChristinErik, ChrisMeg or Eristine. Also do I disapprove the descriptions "the book" (for Monsieur Gaston Leroux' book), "the musical / the show" (for the Andrew Lloyd Webber / Charles Hart musical version) and "the movie" (for the Joel Schumacher movie version from 2004). All this is typical PHan behavior, but not mine.
I am an admirer of this wonderful and heartbreaking tale and respect every version of it, as well as each and every involved person or character, any actor /actress or composer. Like on my websites I do not feature one certain person, actor, musician or version. You will never find me using these abbreviations, combinations and descriptions mentioned above or find me calling an actor / actress / composer / producer by his first name, unless I am allowed to do so. As you may have noticed, I prefer the French names ~ such as Le Fantôme de l'Opéra or Le Persan, of course written correctly. Also do I write Christine Daaé always with the accent on the e.
I call an incredibly huge collection of anything Le Fantôme de l'Opéra and Christine Daaé my own, for I collect everything around this tale. I have read many of the books, seen so many movies and shows, listened to audio books and and and... People call me an eminent authority for all things Le Fantôme de l'Opéra and Christine Daaé. I bear this title with pride and do my very best to remain worth of it. No matter what you wish to know about this famous tale, I either know it or am able to find it out because of my big amount of sources and contacts.
You certainly will not find all answers on my websites, because neither my Encyclopedia Phantasma (www.PhantomsDungeon.de / www.PhantomsDungeon.com) nor my Bibliotheca Daaé (www.ChristineDaae.de / www.Christine-Daae.com) will ever be completely online. There is no need for me to put everything online and display it to the world. I know what I own, whom I met, where I was, what I saw and what happened to me. You may certainly ask me, but I will not answer all questions concerning my person.
